Anelise De Carli

Anelise De Carli é pesquisadora na área da Estética, com foco em Cultura Visual e Humanidades Ambientais. Atua também como ensaísta e artista multimídia.

Atualmente realiza pós-doutorado (PIPD/CAPES) no Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da PUCRS, onde é também professora colaboradora. Coordena o GPPimg — Grupo de Pesquisa Pensamento por Imagem, é vice-líder do Atlas do Antropoceno (PUCRS/CNPq) e integra o Terranias — Núcleo de Pensamento Ecológico (PUC-Rio/CNPq). É cofundadora da Associação para Pesquisa e Prática em Humanidades (APPH).

Trabalha nas dimensões escrita e visual do ensaio. Participou de exposições individuais e coletivas no Brasil e na França. Colabora regularmente com artistas e instituições culturais na realização de exposições, publicações e projetos de pesquisa e curadoria.

Doutorou-se em Comunicação e Informação pela UFRGS (2020), com tese concentrada em teoria da imagem, sendo neste período pesquisadora visitante (PDSE/CAPES) do Institut de Recherches Philosophiques de Lyon, Université Jean Moulin Lyon III (2018—2019). Lecionou anteriormente no PPG em Estudos Culturais da USP (2024—2025) e na Escola de Belas Artes da UFRJ (2022—2023).

Vive e trabalha em Porto Alegre, Brasil.

Anelise De Carli is a scholar in the fields of Aesthetics, with a focus on Visual Culture and Environmental Humanities. She also works as an essayist and multimedia artist.

She is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Philosophy at the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul, where she also serves as affiliated faculty member. She coordinates the research group Thinking Through Images, co-organizes the Anthropocene Atlas group, and is also a member of Terranias — Center for Ecological Thought. She is co-founder of the nonprofit Association for Research and Practice in Humanities.

Her practice engages both the written and visual dimensions of the essay. She has presented in both solo and group exhibitions in Brazil and France. She regularly collaborates with artists and cultural institutions on exhibitions, publications, and research initiatives.

She holds a PhD in Communication and Information from UFRGS, specializing in image theory. Earlier, she was a visiting scholar at the Institut de Recherches Philosophiques de Lyon, Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3. She has taught in the Graduate Program in Cultural Studies at the University of São Paulo and at the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro.

Lives and works in Porto Alegre, Brazil.
